Tragedy in El Paso

The horrible news coming out of El Paso yesterday was heart-breaking. 20 people were killed and dozens injured in a shooting perpetrated by a young man so filled with hate that he opened fire in a crowded shopping mall. El Paso is a very beautiful city that many Texans love. Yet it was attacked yesterday by a twisted young man fueled by mindless hate and other demons — the dark web, video games, and what has become known as the dark side of our culture. Like many in Texas and in our nation, my heart is very troubled by this tragedy. I discussed my thoughts on the issues that contributed to the shooting this morning on Fox & Friends. You can watch the interview here.

As I predicted on the show, I was immediately attacked on social media for my remarks. There is also a transcript here so you can see what I actually said and the context in which I said it.

I appreciate your continued support. May God bless you, your family, and the greatest state of all—Texas.
