Senate District 4 Is in Great Hands with Newly Sworn-In Brett Ligon

On Wednesday, I joined Chancellor Brandon Creighton in swearing in Brett Ligon as the newest member of the Texas Senate. Senate District 4 is in great hands, and we are fortunate to welcome another outstanding senator to serve the people of Texas.

Another Step Toward Expanding Critical Mental Health Care in Texas

It was great to be at UT Southwestern Medical Center for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Texas Behavioral Health Center with Texas Health and Human Services Commissioner Stephanie Muth, Sen. Tan Parker (R-Flower Mound), Sen. Royce West (D-Dallas), Rep. David Cook (R-Mansfield), Rep. Toni Rose (D-Dallas), Rep. Venton Jones (D-Dallas), Secretary of State Jane Nelson, and Chancellor of The University of Texas System John Zerwas.

As Lieutenant Governor, I have prioritized billions of dollars in investments for our state hospital network. Tuesday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony in Dallas reflects my ongoing commitment to ensuring Texans have access to critical mental health care across the state.

Full Steam Ahead! Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday with BNSF Railway

On Tuesday, I joined BNSF Railway in Fort Worth to celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Railroads played an important role in shaping and building our nation, and much of Texas.

As someone who loves trains, it was an incredible experience to ride aboard one of BNSF’s historic locomotives and see that history come to life. Some of the railcars we traveled in on Tuesday were once used by President Harry Truman.

Thank you for all your support over the years and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.
