My Official Statement Announcing the 2026 Interim Charges to the Texas Senate
During each interim leading up to the January 2027 session, I ask Senators to recommend issues their constituents would like us to consider. We received more than 600 submissions from the 30-member Senate.
Last week, I released our second round of charges addressing 70 policy ideas. We may issue a third, smaller round of interim charges in the coming months.
