The Hate for President Trump Must End
Like most Republicans, I didn’t support the policies of Presidents Obama or Biden. Their agendas hurt our nation badly. But I didn’t hate them as people and, obviously, didn’t want to see them hurt or killed.
Sadly, too many voices on the left, who now control the Democrat party, regularly stoke hatred toward President Trump. Remember the comedian who held up his life-like severed head, or the singer who wanted to blow up the White House? When the President’s close friend, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated, many on the left cheered.
It’s time the few moderate Democrat leaders who remain speak out to stop the hate within their party toward the President. Disagree with him on policy if you wish, but respect the office and don’t inflame those who might be inspired to harm him or others.
Politics are tough. Campaigns are tough. But throughout most of our history, when a new President was elected, there was not the constant outpour of public hatred and threats toward our President we see today.
Jesus (Mark 3:25), Sam Houston, and President Lincoln all said: “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” Wise words to heed then and heed now if we want to heal our nation.
America Reads the Bible
Saturday night was the conclusion of the historic America Reads the Bible event! This unique event featured a full reading of all 31,102 verses of the Bible in one week by 475 readers, including President Trump.
I was honored to participate, reading from 2 Peter, chapter 2, through 1 John, chapter 2. This historic event was created by my friend and fellow Texan, Bunni Pounds. I’m grateful to have taken part.

Reigniting America’s Love for the Bible
I was on Fox & Friends last Sunday morning to discuss “America Reads the Bible.” We talked about something the headlines often ignore, that our country was founded on the belief that our rights come from God, not government.
Now, as we approach America’s 250th anniversary, Americans are turning back to faith, to Scripture, and to the values that shaped our country.

If We Lose Texas, We Lose America
Last Sunday, I joined Newsmax on their new Sunday morning show, Wake Up America Weekend, where I discussed the 2026 elections in Texas.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: no matter the outcome of the Texas GOP primary runoffs, Republicans must come together to defeat the Democrats.
If we don’t unite, we risk losing Texas, and if we lose Texas, we lose America.

5th Circuit Upholds Ten Commandments Law
A Great Day for Those Who Believe in the Word of God
On Tuesday, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Texas’ Ten Commandments law is constitutional! It was a great day for those who believe in the Word of God.
Last session, I made Senate Bill 10, Placing the Ten Commandments in Schools, by Sen. Phil King (R-Weatherford), one of my top priorities. As chair of President Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission, I will never stop fighting for the religious liberty rights of Texans and all Americans.
Meeting with the Park Cities Republican Women
On Tuesday evening, I was in Dallas where I had the privilege of joining the Park Cities Republican Women (PCRW) for their meeting and a moderated conversation with Katrina Eash, followed by a Q&A with PCRW members.
