Early this morning the Republican Party of Texas elected a new chairman. I want to thank Chairman James Dickey for his tireless efforts for our party. Lt. Colonel Allen West has been elected to serve as the next Chairman and I want to congratulate him on his victory. In 2015, I appointed Chairman West to serve on the Sunset Committee and he did a terrific job. I know he will bring that same energy and commitment to the RPT. As Chairman of the Texas Trump campaign, I look forward to working with Lt. Col. West going forward. I know we always say that the next election is the most important in our life time – but this year it is really true.
On Sunday, I delivered a video address to the 2020 Republican Party of Texas virtual State Convention. I talked about the fact that the heart and soul of America is on the line in this November election. We must defeat the Democrats’ dark vision of socialism, fear and their effort to divide our nation. You can watch the Convention video it here.
