Between June 1, 2011 and May 31, 2017, over 222,000 criminal aliens were booked into local Texas jails – these criminal aliens were charged with more than 593,000 crimes. These crimes include 1,211 homicide charges; 70,500 assault charges; 17,132 burglary charges; 70,875 drug charges; 716 kidnapping charges; 41,464 theft charges; 46,028 obstructing police charges; 3,911 robbery charges; 6,361 sexual assault charges; and 8,906 weapons charges. These are numbers I know by heart – we have to have local government hold these criminals on detainers for ICE in order to secure our border.
