Texas Apartment Association Endorses Dan Patrick for Lieutenant Governor

AUSTIN – Dan Patrick, Texas State Senator and Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor, received the endorsement of the Texas Apartment Association today.

“The Texas Apartment Association is proud to endorse Dan Patrick for Lieutenant Governor. He will serve Texas well,” said George B. Allen, CAE, TAA’s Executive Vice President. “The Texas economy is thriving and under Dan Patrick’s leadership the Texas Senate will continue to promote policies that encourage business investment and job growth without unnecessary regulations.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Texas Apartment Association,” said Dan Patrick. “I’ve always been a strong supporter of small government and keeping our taxes low. As the next Lieutenant Governor of this great State, I will continue fighting to cut property taxes so that our businesses have the freedom to be successful.”

TAA has more than 11,000 members and represents more than 1.9 million rental units throughout the state. TAA represents all aspects of the rental housing industry. Members of the association provide housing for more than 4.5 million Texans, employ an estimated 75,000 full-time employees, represent property with a market value of more than $150 billion, and pay property taxes exceeding $3 billion a year.
