Patrick to Head Trump Victory Texas
“I expect our margin of victory to increase from 2016 with big GOP wins up and down the ballot.”

HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick issued this statement today following the announcement that he will serve as Honorary State Chair of the Texas Trump Victory Leadership Team:

“President Trump has done what Texans elected him to do — create jobs, grow the economy, reduce meaningless regulation and invest in America’s future. He has fought to secure the border, and protect life, liberty and freedom while appointing principled conservative judges to the Supreme Court and the federal judiciary. While the entire clown car of Democrat presidential candidates are offering a bleak, socialist vision for our country, rooted in ignorance and division, President Trump is the clear choice. His policies have proved over and over again that the future of Texas and America is virtually unlimited as more and more people are flourishing. With President Trump at the top of the Republican ticket in Texas, I expect we will increase our margin of victory from 2016 and that he will help ensure more GOP victories up and down the ballot. I am honored to be serving again as the State Chair of Texas Trump Victory and I look forward to working with the Trump Pence Victory Team over the next year.”

President Trump has been a good friend to Texas, stepping up immediately following Hurricane Harvey to begin recovery and rebuilding. His policies have created new jobs, helped raise worker wages, and cut taxes across the board. Since President Trump was elected:

  • Texas has added over 781,600 jobs including over 69,100 manufacturing jobs.
  • Texas’ unemployment has fallen from 4.8 percent to 3.4 percent
  • The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act generated over 18,128 jobs in Texas last year and provided an average tax cut of$1,324.
  • President Trump has rolled back unnecessary job-killing regulations beyond expectations – issuing 22 deregulatory actions for every new regulatory action.
