HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced today that he has the support of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT). In making the announcement, IIAT President & Executive Director Marit Peters said:

“The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) and its more than 1,200 member agencies continue to support Lt. Governor Dan Patrick. IIAT has worked closely with Lt. Gov. Patrick over the years, and together we have accomplished many insurance reforms which have benefited consumers and agents alike. Lt. Governor Patrick has the best interests of Texans and the Texas business community in mind, as do IIAT members. IIAT’s Chief Legislative Officer Lee Loftis and Government Affairs Director Regan Ellmer look forward to continuing their work with Lt. Gov. Patrick to provide insurance solutions for Texans.”

The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas is the nation’s largest state association of independent insurance agencies, representing nearly 1,500 agencies employing tens of thousands of agents and insurance professionals. Independent agents represent multiple insurance companies; they are not employees of any single insurance company.
