“Texas hospitals appreciate Lt. Governor Dan Patrick’s work to protect the health care safety net during the 85th legislative session.”
HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced today that he has been endorsed by the Texas Hospital Association political action committee (HOSPAC). In making the endorsement, Ted Shaw, president/CEO, Texas Hospital Association said:
“Texas hospitals appreciate Lt. Governor Dan Patrick’s work to protect the health care safety net during the 85th legislative session and look forward to working with him in the future to continue improving Texas’ health care system. Patrick’s leadership on the state’s 2018-2019 budget was particularly helpful for securing funding for enhanced payments for trauma, safety net, and rural hospitals.”
“I will continue to fight for Texas hospitals that work to keep Texans healthy. I appreciate the endorsement of the Texas Hospital Association and their members,” said Lt. Governor Dan Patrick.
One of the largest hospital associations in the country, THA represents more than 85 percent of the state’s acute-care hospitals and healthcare systems, which employ some 365,000 health care professionals statewide.
