HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced today that he has been endorsed by the Independent Bankers Association of Texas. In making the endorsement, Stephen Y. Scurlock, Director of Government Relations and Public Policy Independent Bankers Association of Texas, said:

“Governor Patrick understands the important role community banks serve across our state. Whether in rural, suburban or urban settings, community banks are the primary driver of small business lending and job creation and serve as a catalyst for economic activity and growth. Dan Patrick has been a steadfast supporter of community banking throughout his career in public service. The Independent Bankers Association of Texas appreciates Governor Patrick’s leadership and we are pleased to provide our endorsement to him for another term as Lt.
