AUSTIN – Dan Patrick, Texas State Senator and Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor, today announced the newest addition to his team. Alejandro Garcia will serve as Communications Director

Garcia recently served under three Texas Secretaries of State, as Director of Border Affairs, where he dealt with an array of issues along the Texas/Mexico border including economic development, transportation, energy, education, legislative affairs, international communications and more.
Previously, he also served as Press Secretary during Governor Perry’s successful 2010 Gubernatorial Campaign and Press Secretary in the 2011 Texas Inaugural Committee. A native of Laredo, Texas, Garcia received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Texas A&M International University and a master’s degree in Political Science/International Relations from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
