Lt. Governor Patrick Endorsed by Texas Chemical Council

HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced today that he has been endorsed for re-election by the Texas Chemical Council. In making the endorsement, Hector Rivero, President & CEO of the Texas Chemical Council, said:

“The Texas Chemical Council (TCC) and Association of Chemical Industry of Texas (ACIT) Free Enterprise Political Action Committee (FREEPAC) are pleased to endorse Lt. Governor Dan Patrick for re-election. Lt. Governor Patrick is a proven leader with strong support for the business of chemistry which produces products and materials essential to our quality of life. Our industry thanks Lt. Governor Patrick for his continued leadership in supporting an equitable tax policy, a fair and balanced civil justice system, reliable energy policy, and educational opportunities to maintain a skilled workforce.”

TCC represents 70 companies that own and operate more than 200 manufacturing and research facilities and provide over 75,000 direct jobs and 400,000 indirect jobs to Texans across the state. ACIT represents over 400 contractors, suppliers, vendors, and other service providers in the chemical industry. The Texas chemical industry is a major economic engine for Texas. Chemical products are the state’s top non-energy export with over $35 billion in exports each year.
