Lt. Governor Dan Patrick Endorsed by Texas Medical Association TEXPAC
HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced today that he has been endorsed by Texas Medical Association TEXPAC. In making the endorsement, TEXPAC Chair Robert Rogers, MD said:
“TEXPAC is endorsing Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick for reelection. Texas doctors appreciate how he worked with Texas’ physician senators in support of issues important to medicine, like shoring up funding for graduate medical education to help grow our state’s physician workforce.
“Physicians also appreciate Lt. Governor Patrick’s efforts to protect the important patient-doctor relationship and reduce the red tape and regulation physicians face. He worked last session to increase health plan accountability and improve the health insurance environment for patients and the physicians who care for them. For these reasons and more, Lt. Governor Patrick has earned the endorsement of TEXPAC.”
TEXPAC is the Texas Medical Association’s bipartisan political arm, helping to elect medicine-friendly candidates at the local, state, and federal level. Created in 1962, TEXPAC is one of the oldest political action committees in Texas.
