Lt. Governor Dan Patrick Endorsed by Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC

HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced the endorsement for his re-election from Texans for Lawsuit Reform Political Action Committee.

“TLRPAC is proud to endorse Dan Patrick in his re-election as lieutenant governor. Both as a state senator and as lieutenant governor of Texas, Dan Patrick has been a stalwart leader for reforming and improving the Texas civil justice system, making it more accessible, efficient, fair and predictable. He has consistently and effectively opposed lawsuit abuse wherever and whenever it occurs. Gov. Patrick recognizes the key role that tort reform has in a vibrant Texas economy and job growth for our citizens,” said Dick Weekley, chairman and CEO of Texans for Lawsuit Reform.

“I am proud to be endorsed by Texans for Lawsuit Reform. I stand firm in my position to end frivolous lawsuits and will continue to fight to ensure a brighter future for all Texans, not those looking to abuse the judicial system,” Dan Patrick said upon receiving the endorsement.

By making it one of his top ten priorities in the 85th Legislative Session, Dan Patrick led the Texas Senate in passing common-sense legislation to help put an end to abusive litigation.

TLR has been working for more than a decade to create a civil justice system that discourages non-meritorious lawsuits or outrageous claims for damages.
