Dan Patrick Endorsed by Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC

HOUSTON, TX – Lt. Governor Dan Patrick announced the endorsement for his re-election from Texans for Lawsuit Reform Political Action Committee. Richard W. Weekley, TLR Senior Chairman, said:

“Dan Patrick has been a steadfast champion for common-sense lawsuit reforms over nearly a decade and a half of public service to our state. He understands that without a fair and efficient legal system, Texas cannot be the economic powerhouse that it is today. Thanks to his leadership in the Senate, Texas continues to be a national example of smart and effective reforms, shutting down job-killing lawsuit abuse whenever it occurs and ensuring all Texans have access to a fair legal system. TLR PAC is proud to support him for re-election as lieutenant governor.”

Representing 1,266 different professions and trades, TLR has been working for more than a decade to create a civil justice system that discourages non-meritorious lawsuits or outrageous claims for damages.

ICYMI: I released 57 interim charges that reflect issues that Texans have asked us to study. Our 31 senators submitted hundreds of ideas, with many senators sharing similar proposals. My staff and I worked diligently for weeks to review each request, and this is the first set of interim charges I am releasing in preparation for the 89th Legislature. We may release a second shorter list of additional charges before next session.

You can read more about them here:; and here is a list of all 57 charges for the Senate:
