Taylor Sheridan to Produce & Direct Alamo Battle Film for New Museum
Last week I talked with the Alamo Trust about the new 4D Alamo movie. The 25-minute 4D film will play continuously in the new 4-story Visitor Center and Museum across from the church. I told them the only person for the job was Texan, Taylor Sheridan.
We have become friends over the last few years, so I called him and asked if he would produce our film. He immediately said yes and that he would proudly donate his time to the people of Texas to produce the film. I don’t know who was more excited, him or me. In a matter of 15 minutes, I talked with the Alamo Trust, called Taylor, discussed the project, he said yes, and I called back the board. That was a great 15 minutes for Texas.

Texas Rangers Open Investigation Into the Deaths of 27 Girls at Camp Mystic
I have separately asked the Texas agency that oversees camps not to renew the Camp Mystic license until the investigations are complete. The new Texas Ranger investigation is another reason not to renew their license for this year.

Will Paxton and Cornyn Both Commit Now to Endorsing the Winner?
It’s the right thing to do for the party and for Texas.

On Wednesday, I joined a crowd of energized conservatives at the annual Texas Public Policy Foundation Policy Summit! TPPF has been a key ally on many conservative policy fights, including the passage of school choice. With 274,000 applications for 100,000 students, it’s clear our program is a major HIT with Texas parents.
I ended my speech with a clear message: Republicans MUST come together after our contentious runoff elections on May 26th. Click here to watch the clip.
I am calling on all Republican candidates who lose their primary runoff election to endorse the winner. We must focus on defeating the Democrats, not holding grudges amongst ourselves. There is too much at stake!
Let me be absolutely clear: if we focus all of our efforts on turning out fellow Republican voters, we will keep Texas red. Republicans cannot lose if we unite to defeat the Democrats. If we lose Texas, we lose America.
TPUSA Rally

On Tuesday, I traveled to Texas A&M to speak with Riley Gaines and Josh Thifault at one of the largest Turning Point Chapters in the country. After my friend, Charlie Kirk, was killed, I gave Turning Point a million dollars from my campaign to help put a TPUSA Chapter on every high school and college campus in Texas to share a conservative and faith-based message to young students.
I’ve known Riley for four years. A champion swimmer, she finished second to a man who was allowed to compete in a women’s swimming competition. When others were silent, she was courageous. She’s one of my favorite people.
Fireside Chat with Dennis Quaid in Nacogdoches

On Thursday evening, Dennis Quaid and I had a fantastic fireside chat in front of a packed house at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches.
Our conversation ran 30 minutes long – we spoke about Dennis’ Texas roots, his film career, and how Texas can export our values by making more movies right here at home. We also shared great life and career advice for Stephen F. Austin students.

We were also joined by Peaches, Dennis’s adorable English Bulldog, who stole the show. I was honored to have her join us for a ride in the car.
