A Recap of My Recent Visit to D.C.

I was in Washington for three days this week for a speech and several meetings, including meetings with the President and our U.S. Senate nominee, Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Washington, D.C. has never looked better, from the White House to the West Wing, where the Oval Office is located.
The President is giving everything a makeover after years of neglect under Biden. Washington, D.C. is also a much safer city today than it was during the Biden Administration.
Here’s a brief tour of some of the changes the President has made. More improvements are being completed every day.
The Presidential Walk of Fame

The President has an eye for design. This is the walkway from the White House to the Oval Office. For 150 years, it was nothing more than a concrete walkway with bare walls.
Now, you can see his famous black granite along the walkway, as well as a portrait of every President.
As for Biden, it’s a photo of the autopen that, some believe, signed about 90% of his papers.

The autopen representing President Biden.
The President has a great sense of humor.

When the President leaves the White House, where he lives, he walks along this remodeled corridor to the Oval Office, which is on the left in this photo.
The Fountains Are Flowing Again

Not only has he restored the White House, but he has also repaired statues and fountains across Washington, D.C. Under Biden, all 29 of the city’s fountains were not working. Today, all 29 are operating and beautifying the city.
Also, all the grass at the White House and around monuments across D.C. has been replanted. It’s a beautiful, deep green.
It had not been replanted in decades.
The President’s Challenge Coins

The President’s challenge coins are highly sought after. He has placed them throughout the White House and the West Wing. They look great.

His Presidential challenge coin is bigger and heavier than any I have ever seen. Like a lot of people, I’m a collector of challenge coins.
The White House at Night is Big and Bright

The White House is most beautiful at night.
Halls of History

When you enter through the front doors of the White House, you come into a grand lobby with a beautiful piano.
Downstairs, there are several historic rooms along this hallway that lead to the walkway to the Oval Office.
Inside the Oval Office

My visit included a great meeting with the President and Attorney General Ken Paxton.

Under Biden, there was only one Presidential signing in the Oval Office.
Biden removed the bust of Winston Churchill. Churchill is back now. The Oval Office is now filled with paintings, a copy of the Declaration of Independence, and the President’s trademark: a touch of gold.

Thank you for all your support over the years and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.
Sincerely,

Dan Patrick
Lieutenant Governor of Texas
