A Special Evening at the Amarillo Lincoln Reagan Dinner

Last Saturday, I had the honor of speaking at the Amarillo Lincoln Reagan Dinner and introducing my friend, Dr. Ben Carson, the evening’s keynote speaker. It was an incredible event, with over 400 people in attendance. I love all of rural Texas. The panhandle is a special place with wonderful people. I’ll be doing another bus tour this fall across Texas. I’m proud to serve with Sen. Kevin Sparks, R-Midland, and Rep. Caroline Fairly, R-Amarillo, who represent the area, and Dr. Carson on President Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission, where he serves as Vice Chair, working together to protect and uphold our fundamental freedoms.

Guns Up at Texas Tech

It was great to be in Lubbock with so many friends, including Speaker Dustin Burrows and Texas Tech Chancellor Brandon Creighton!

Brown County Republican Party Luncheon

I also had the honor of speaking at the Brown County Republican luncheon on Thursday, alongside my colleague, Sen. Phil King, R-Weatherford, and Rep. David Spiller, R-Jacksboro.

They even “initiated” me into the Brownwood Mafia! I was quite excited, because in the spirit of Vito Corleone, “You’ve made me an offer I can’t refuse!”

An In-Depth Hearing on Anti-Semitism by the Religious Liberty Commission

This week’s hearing of President Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission, which I am honored to chair, drew lots of attention. It was one of the best hearings we have ever had with lots of compelling witness testimony. One member of our Commission decided this was her opportunity to advance her personal agenda, outside the scope of the hearing’s subject matter, but I am proud the Commission powered through. After the hearing, I made the decision to remove her from the Commission. See my tweet above explaining why.

The Commission has held five hearings already, and we have two more to go before we deliver a report to President Trump outlining ways to expand and strengthen religious liberty in our country.

Happy Valentine’s Day, Texas!

Texas is red, our flowers are blue, early voting starts Tuesday, will I see you at the polls, too?

Thank you for all your support over the years and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.

Sincerely,

Dan Patrick
