In case you missed it, the response to the news that President Trump is coming to Houston on Monday has been so overwhelming that they had to move to a bigger venue – the President’s GOTV Rally will now be held in the Toyota Center, 1510 Polk Street in Houston. I will be speaking, and I hope you can join us. I invited President Trump to visit Texas in July to help rally Republicans to make sure our leaders who stand for life, liberty and keeping our border secure and our economy strong are elected. Doors open at 3:30 PM and the rally begins at 6:30 PM. To get tickets, click here.
New Republican Senator makes History
Senator Pete Flores, R-Pleasanton, the first Hispanic Republican in the Texas Senate, was officially sworn in last Friday. Flores is also the first Republican state senator to represent District 19 since 1879. Pete is a hard-working and committed conservative who made a terrific speech in the Senate Chamber – which was packed with his friends, family and supporters from all over his district. Here is a shot of him meeting many of his new fellow senators.
The Spirit of Sam Houston
I spoke to a great crowd of committed conservatives at the Texas Public Policy Foundation Awards Dinner in Midland where my friend Don Sparks earned TPPF’s Sam Houston Award. The Sam Houston Award recognizes Texans whose service to their community has made a profound impact on the future of Texas — that certainly epitomizes Don. A well-deserved honor.
Home School Coalition Gala in The Woodlands
Great crowd at the Texas Home School Coalition Gala in The Woodlands last week. I enjoyed catching up with old friends. I have been a longtime defender of home schooling and parental rights in Texas, and I will continue to fight for and maintain the liberties of Texas families.

#BacktheBlue
I am so proud to have the endorsement of the San Antonio Police Officers Association. Police officers go to work every day willing to put their lives on the line for their communities. There are only about 80,000 law enforcement officers in our state who protect 28 million Texans. I always #backtheblue and I know you do too.
Wind, Rain and Conservatives Working to Keep Texas Red
A cold front complete with rain didn’t dampen spirits at the Comal County Republican Club Get Out the Vote Rally in New Braunfels on Monday. These committed conservatives know what is at stake in this Big Choice election. It was great to see U.S. Representative candidate Chip Roy, my good friend Rafael Cruz, and our awesome state senator, Donna Campbell, who did her usual terrific job of firing up the crowd. Comal County is bright red and it is always great to visit there.
Conservatives are ready
The North East Tarrant Tea Party hosted a wonderful GOTV event this week. It was great to be joined by State Senator Konni Burton and other local Tarrant County Republicans who are ready to go out and get folks to the polls starting Monday.
The Heart of Texas
So proud to speak at the Heart of Texas Prison Seminary event in Sugar Land. I took the lead in establishing the Men’s Prison Seminary at the Darrington Unit in Rosharon in 2011. Since then, 135 pastors have graduated with Bachelor of Biblical Studies degrees. They currently serve in 26 prisons across Texas and in 16 other states. I am so proud of what this program has accomplished and for the many blessings it will bring in the future.
