The Texas House Democrats have been MIA for 16 days and counting and the only thing they have accomplished is racking up a huge bill for taxpayers. By choosing to remain in Washington, D.C. rather than report for work here in Texas, they have made it clear that holding our democracy hostage is more important than working for their constituents. They are pushing for a federal takeover, even though 65% of Texans are against federalizing our elections.
