Dan Patrick Confirms Texas Tribune Debate Set For September 29

AUSTIN – Dan Patrick, Texas State Senator and Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor, has agreed to a September 29th Texas Tribune debate with Leticia Van de Putte.

After working out the details, both campaigns have agreed to debate on Monday, September 29. Senator Patrick is looking forward to debating his opponent.

“The original invitation from Texas Tribune’s Evan Smith proposed two dates: September 24 or September 27,” said Alejandro Garcia, Patrick Communications Director. “The Patrick campaign objected to debating during Rosh Hashanah on September 24 out of respect to the Jewish community. The Van de Putte campaign objected to debating on September 27 because it was in conflict with college football. Now both parties have agreed to September 29.”

A recap of the details includes the following:

Moderator: Ross Ramsey

Program length: 60 minutes

Televised by: KLRU (PBS), Broadcast feed available to other media
