One of the many issues at stake in this election is support for law enforcement. President Trump has the support of almost every major police organization in the country because law enforcement officers know Democrats are behind the push to “defund police.” After Democrat leadership in Austin cut millions from the police budget, there has been a spike in violent crime and officer retirements. Though the mainstream media continues to ignore the data, you can read about it here.
In case you missed it earlier last week, I joined Governor Greg Abbott, U.S. Senator John Cornyn, State Senators Larry Taylor, Joan Huffman and Paul Bettencourt, along with Speaker Dennis Bonnen and members of the Houston Police Officers’ Union for a Texas Backs the Blue Press Conference. Here are my remarks.
Another way a Joe Biden/Kamala Harris ticket would be bad for America is their plan to destroy the oil and gas industry. This would cost hundreds of thousands of Texas jobs and billions to our economy. I talked with Chris Salcedo about it on NewsMax last week. Watch it here.
Was great to talk with my friend Chad Hasty out in Lubbock on KFYO last week. We discussed the election and the importance of rural voters getting to the polls to cast their ballots. In case you missed it, click here to listen.
Hays County Republicans Open New Headquarters
It was great to be in Kyle on Tuesday where I visited the new Hays County Republican Party Welcome Center. I was joined by Senator Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels, who represents Hays County. These hardworking conservatives are determined to Keep Texas Red and re-elect President Trump. Lots of enthusiasm in the crowd and their new HQ is terrific.
Less than 36 Hours until the Polls Open
On Tuesday we have a clear choice — continue our Great American Comeback or go down the Democrats’ road of radical leftwing policies that will bankrupt our country. If you have not voted, make sure you get to the polls on Tuesday. If you have voted, do everything you can to get everyone you know to go vote — your friends, family and neighbors. Together, we will KEEP AMERICA GREAT and KEEP TEXAS RED!
Please continue to keep our state and our nation in your prayers. Pray for the families who have lost loved ones to coronavirus and for our heroic health care workers. And, as always, keep our brave law enforcement officers in your prayers. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.
Lieutenant Governor of Texas
