Dan's Faith Foundation

The Christian community always knows they can count on Dan Patrick to give them free air time, interviews and publicity on key faith-based moral issues facing all of us. Most recently, Dan has used his significant voice on the airways as a strong proponent of getting out the vote for Proposition 2, guaranteeing marriage in Texas would be between a man and a woman only. KSEV has been the only radio or television station in Houston that area pastors or Christian groups can count on to stand with them on the key issues..

"In this crucial hour for our nation we desperately need men of strong faith and conviction in positions of elected leadership at all levels. I have had the privilege to work with some of the top conservative and Christian leaders in the country and I place Dan Patrick among the top tier of those leaders. His voice for the Christian faith, protection of life, family and property and for responsible government has made an impact for many years.

"It is time now to take his passion and conviction to the Texas State Senate where he will have an even greater impact in defense of those values." - Dave Welch, Executive Director of Houston Area Pastors Council

Dan Patrick is a Christian who is not afraid to share his faith with his listeners on his radio program. KSEV has been described by many as the most Christian secular station in the country. Although KSEV does not have a Christian format, Dan uses biblical principles whenever possible to draw attention to the meaning of a news event or to put a news event in perspective.

Dan believes that God has given him a great platform to share biblical principles to many who may never step inside a church. Dan once said, "People are interested in religion. I try to present God's Word in a non-preaching manner to my audience. If you look at the size of my audience I have the biggest church in Houston when we are talking about the Bible." For the last decade, Dan has stated on his bio that his main goal in life is to expand God's Kingdom on earth.
George Bush and Dan talk about their faith at Pro Life lunch

Dan is a strong pro-life advocate. He has given hours of free air time to those who support pro life issues on KSEV. Dan was awarded "The Horizon Award" from Texas Right to Life as one of the leading voices in the pro-life movement in Texas. He was invited to a special lunch with then Governor George W. Bush where he had the privilege of discussing the governor's faith in a private conversation at the lunch. Dan said, "The Governor had just announced he was running for president and I was honored that he would share his faith with me and ask me how I thought America would respond to his openness about his faith."

Dr. Ed Young
Dan has been a member of Second Baptist Church of Houston for over 10 years and says Dr. Ed Young has been one of the greatest influences in his life. Dan serves on Dr. Young's prayer team. Last year, Dr. Young asked Dan to investigate a possible ministry project for the church because he trusted Dan's business judgment. One of Dan’s proudest moments in his life was when Dr. Ed Young asked Dan to deliver the sermon at Second Baptist Church one Sunday. Dr.
Young does not turn over the pulpit to just anyone. He trusted Dan to deliver a faithful message to his congregation. Dan later remarked that it was the most difficult thing he has ever done, and he had not been that nervous in church since he was married 30 years ago. Dan has spoken to many church groups over the years sharing his testimony with others.
Pastor Joel Osteen

Another prominent Houston Pastor, Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church, trusted Dan's leadership and business acumen so much that he hired Dan to run his television station, KTBU, in 2000. Joel had just taken over his church duties at Lakewood after the death of his father and needed someone he could trust to manage the station.
In 2002, Dan published The Second Most Important Book You Will Ever Read......a personal challenge to read the Bible. The book sold over 10,000 copies in Houston and became a national bestseller. His book became a top seller on Amazon and at one point was the number one Christian book on their list. Dan donated all of the profits to Christian causes.

"Don’t pick up this book unless you plan to read it, because once you begin, you won’t put it down!"
Dr. Ed Young
Senior Pastor, Second Baptist Church, Houston, Texas

"I encourage you to read this book. Dan brings alive the power and promise of the Bible."
Peter Bradley
President, International Bible Society

"Dan’s book is a wonderfully told and easily read account that challenges each of us to read the most important book - the Bible." Apollo 7 Astronaut Walter Cunningham Colonel, U.S.M.C.

"A book that is destined to introduce God’s Word to a new generation, while reinvigorating the faith of the rest of us."
Laura Ingraham
Author of The Hilary Trap and host of "The Laura Ingraham Show"

"Dan’s book will help you begin an exciting journey to discover God’s plan for you." Dr. Lars Dunberg Founder and President, Global Action

"I’m already making a list of people I want to buy copies for."
Dr. Rick Scarborough Founder
